Length of the pipe = 2.5 m

Pipe used = 1/4

Pipe left unused = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4

i.e. 3/4 of 2.5 = 7.5/4 = 1.875 m is left

Your answer !!

__________________________

Length of pipe = 2 .5m

Pipe used = 1 / 4 m

Pipe unused = 1 - 1 / 4 = 3 / 4 m

= 3 . 4 / 4 ( 2 .5 )

= 7. 5 / 4

= 1. 87 m
