Mr sawant purchased a machine for rupees 8850 (with GST) & sold it to the customer for rupees 10030 (with GST). rate of GST is 18% find the amount of CGST & SGST to be paid by Mr sawant?

Actual price of Machine (Without GST)=X Rs

X×118/100=8850

X= 7500

Cost GST ( CGST) = 8850-7500=1350


Mr Sawant sold it at 10030.

so Sell GST = Selling P - Cost Price

(SGST) = 10030-8500=1530 Rs.

cgst = 1350 \: rupees \:  \: sgst = 1530 \: rupees

y+18%(y)=10030

1.18x=10030

∴ y=8500

CGST= Price(with GST-without GST)=10030-8500=1530

Amout of SGST to be paid = 1530
