Given:

The fraction of his money Mr. Sharma gave to:

Sonal → \frac{1}{3} of his money

Kunal → \frac{5}{12} of his money

Mr. Sharma deposited rest of the money equally into 3 of his accounts

To find:

The fraction of his money he deposited in each account

Solution:

Let Mr. Sharma initially has "x" money with him.

So, he gave to

Sonal → \frac{x}{3}

Kunal → \frac{5x}{12}

∴ Total amount Mr. Sharma gave from his money = \frac{x}{3} + \frac{5x}{12} = \frac{4x \:+\: 5x}{12} = \frac{9x}{12}

After giving to Sonal and Kunal, Mr. sharma is left with,

= x - \frac{9x}{12}

= \frac{12x\:-\:9x}{12}

= \frac{3x}{12}

= \frac{x}{4}

Since this rest of his money after giving to Sonal and Kunal i.e., \frac{x}{4}, Mr. Sharma had divided equally into 3 of his accounts. So, each account will have \frac{1}{3}rd of the rest of the money he was left with.

∴ The fraction of his money in each accounts is,

= \frac{1}{3} \:\times\:\frac{x}{4}

= \frac{x}{12}

= \bold{\frac{1}{12}} of his money

Thus, Mr. Sharma deposited \underline{\frac{1}{12}} of his money in each of the 3 accounts.

Answer:

1/12

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Mr. Sharma money be = x

Sonal=x/3

Kunal=5x/12

Total amount :

x/3+5x/12

=4x+5x/12

=9x/12

Then,

x-9x/12

=12x-9x/12

=3x/12

=x/4

Then,

1/3×x/4

=x/12

=1/12 of x

So 1/12 is the answer .
