ANSWER :-

  • There are 1080 apple trees.

GIVEN :-

  • 45% are apple trees.
  • 30% are orange trees.
  • Rest are Guava trees which is 600 in number.

TO FIND :-

  • Number of apple trees.

SOLUTION :-

We know ,

Let there are 'x' % of Guava trees.

  • Total percent = 100
  • Apple % = 45
  • Orange % = 30
  • Guava {x} % = ?

So ,

→ 100 = 45 + 30 + x

→ 100 = 75 + x

→ x = 100 - 75

x = 25%

Hence , there are 25% of Guava trees which are 600 in number.

♦ Now , let the total plants be 'y'.

→ 25% of total plants is 600.

→ 25% of y is 600

→ [25/100] × y = 600

→ y/4 = 600

y = 2400 plants

Hence , there are total 2400 trees.

♦ Now , we know that 45% of trees are apple .

→ Number of apple trees is 45% of 2400.

→ Number of apple trees = [45/100]×2400

→ Number of apple trees = 45 × 24

→ Number of apple trees = 1080

Hence , there are 1080 apple trees in the garden.
