total expenditure at beginning = $ 3200 .

total expenditure after increasing = $ 3400 .

increased expenditure = $ 3400 - $ 3200 = $ 200 .

therefore ,

increase expenditure = $ 200 .

\% \: change \:  =  \: \frac{200}{3400}  \times 100
