Solution

Let the income of Mr. Shekhar be Rs x

Then the money he spends =60% of x

= 3x

5

The money he donates to orphanage =

Rs. 300

And the money left with him =Rs. 3200

Therefore ,

x = 3x + 300 + 3200

5

x = 3x + 3500

5

x = 3x + 17500

2x = 17500

x=Rs. 8750

Thus, Shekhar's income is Rs 8750
