- Mr. Thorat was started by the sudden behavior of the tiger at shooting site. He was not able to bring tiger under control, also he was so worried about shooting. Thorat is one of the most important characters of Satyajit Ray's memoir Project Tiger. He is the ringmaster of the Bharat Circus. He is a South Indian, very well built, with features somewhat like those of a Nepali.
- Shooting scenes with animals are most difficult ones. It is not easy task to bring a tiger at calm.
- Mr. Thorat started to suggest some ideas to bring the tiger under control such as- He suggested putting a ring made of thin wire around the neck of the tiger. The ring would be hooked to a length of wire so that the tiger does not go out of control.
