the gain is 520000-400000=120000
therefore 3+2=5
120000/5=24000
therefore investments is 72000 and 48000

Answer:

The money invested in one share is  Rs 72000 and money invested in the other share is Rs 48000 .

Step-by-step explanation:

As given

Mr .Trivedi invested Rs 400000 in an industry .

After 2 years he received Rs 520000 from the industry.

Thus

Gain amount =  Received amount -  Invested amount

Put all the values in the above

Gain amount =   Rs 520000 -  Rs 400000

                     = Rs 120000

Putting aside the original the original investment he invested the gains in mutual funds and in shares in the ratio 3:2 .

Let us assume that the x be the scalar multiple of the amount Mr .Trivedi  invest in each of the schemes .

Amount invested in one share = 3x

Amount invested in second share = 2x

Equation becomes

3x + 2x = 120000

5x = 120000

x = \frac{120000}{5}

x = 24000

Thus

Amount invested in one share = 3 × 24000

                                                  = Rs 72000

Amount invested in second share = 2 × 24000

                                                         = Rs 48000

Therefore the money invested in one share is  Rs 72000 and money invested in the other share is Rs 48000 .
