List prize of the suitcase = Rs.2200

Charged prize of the suitcase = 5%

5 % of 2200 = \tt{\frac{5}{100}×2200}

= 110

Present prize = 2200 + 110

= 2310

According to the hint given, the answer is Rs.2301,hence our answer is verified!

Mr.Vikas has to pay Rs.2301 in order to buy the suitcase.
