Mr x can do a job in 8days and and his son can do it in 12 days. How long would it take to do the job if they worked together ?

work done by x= 8 days.

in one day,

work done =1/8.

son can do work=1/12

both can do the work =1/8+1/12

=3+2/24

=5/24
