25

Clearly saving of Yasmeen forms an AP with first term a=32 and common difference d=36−32=4.

Let it take n months to saves Rs. 2000.

∴S

n

2

n

[2a+(n−1)d]=2000

2

n

[2×32+(n−1)×4]=2000

⇒n[2n+30]=2000

⇒n[n+15]=1000

⇒n

+15n−1000=0

⇒(n+40)(n−25)=0

⇒n=−40,25

But n=-40 being negative integer is not possible.

∴n=25

Hence, it takes 25 months for Yasmeen to saves Rs.2000

Answer:

Question :-

Mr. Yashwantrao saves ₹ 32 during the first day, ₹ 36 on second day and ₹ 40 on the third day, If he continue to save in this manner, in how many months he will save ₹ 3000

Required Answer :-

Money saved by Mr. Yashwantrao on first day = ₹ 32

Money saved by Mr. Yashwantrao on second day = ₹ 36

Money saved by Mr. Yashwantrao on third day = ₹ 40

Therefore A.P. is → 32,36,40,----3000

Here,

a = 32

d = (t2) - (t1) = 36 - 32 = 4

tn = 3000

we know that,

tn = a + (n - 1) d ---(formula)

3000 = (32) + (n - 1) x (4)

3000 = 32 + 4n - 4

3000 = 32 - 4 + 4n

3000 = 28 + 4n

3000 - 28 = 4n

2972 = 4n

2972/4 = n

n = 743

Therefore Mr. Yashwantrao will take 743 days to save 3000 rupees.

Hope it help you :)
