Mrs C: Hello. Helen Carr speaking.
Adam: Oh, hello, Mrs Carr. This is Adam Wells, from the theatre. Is Matt there by any chance?
Mrs C: No , I'm afraid he's not. Hold on, I'll see if Ian knows where he is. He was with Matt yesterday. ... Ian, where did Matt say that he was going today?
Ian: To the Pentland Hills. He went off on a walking trip. Who wants to know?
Mrs C: It's Adam on the phone. Adam, from the theatre. Here, you talk to him.
Ian: Hello, Adam. They said they were going to the Pentland Hills by coach.
Adam: Who's 'they'?
Ian: A friend of Matt's called Kelly, and Zoe, another girl from the theatre.
Adam: Zoe as well! They must have forgotten about the dress rehearsal.
Ian: No, I remember they said they had a rehearsal at six .
Adam: But it's gone seven now!
Ian: The coach might have been held up in a traffic jam or something.
Adam: But why hasn't Matt phoned? He can't have gone without his mobile.
Ian: He must have.
Adam: I don't believe it! The one time he needs it, he doesn't have it with him.
