Cost of toy set for Rs. 1680 including 12% GST.

Find: Total list price of bedsheet and toy set.

Solution: Bedsheet has 5% GST.

Cost of bedsheet = 472.50 - (472.50*5)/100

Cost of bedsheet = 472.50 - 23.6

Cost of bedsheet = Rs. 448.9

GST on toy set = 12%

Cost of toy set = 1680 - (1680*12)100

Cost of toy set = 1680 - 201.6

Cost of toy set = Rs. 1478.4

Total price of bedsheet and toy set = Rs. 1927.3

Hence, total list price of bedsheet and toy set is Rs. 1927.3

List price of Bed sheet  =  B   Rs

GST = (5/100)B = 0.05B   Rs

Amount with GST = B + 0.05B = 1.05B    Rs

1.05B  = 472.5

=> B = 450

Amount of Bed Sheet without GST = Rs 450

List price of Toy =  T   Rs

GST = (12/100)B = 0.12T   Rs

Amount with GST = T + 0.12T = 1.12T    Rs

1.12T  = 1680

=> T = 1500

Amount of Toy without GST = Rs 1500

List price (without GST) of the bedsheet and the toy set together​ = 450 + 1500  = 1950 Rs
