Given : Mrs. Gill is decorating round tablecloths. She wants to put lace around the edge of a tablecloth that has a radius of 4 feet

To Find : Equation used to solve for C to find  amount of lace needed for the tablecloth

Solution:

to put lace around the edge of a tablecloth that has a radius of 4 feet

will need lace equal to circumference / Perimeter of circle

Circumference of circle = 2 π R

R = Radius = 4 feet

π ≈ 22/7  ≈ 3.14

Equation used to solve for C to find  amount of lace needed for the tablecloth =  2(3.14)4

C ≈ 25.12  feet
