metres of fabric left after making 12 curtains = 45 1/4 -38 1/3 = 181/4-115/3 = 543/12-460/12= 83/12 metres of fabric left after making 12 curtains. half fabric used to make 4 cushion cover fabric used to make cushion cover = 83/12 ×2 = 83/6 = 13 5/6 metres

Answer:

\bf\textbf{So, Length of the fabric used by Mrs. Gupta for cushion covers = }3\tfrac{11}{24}\textbf{ meters}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{Length of the fabric bought by Mrs. Gupta = }45\tfrac{1}{4}=\frac{181}{4}\text{ meters}\\\\\text{Length of the fabric used to make 12 curtains by Mrs. Gupta = }38\tfrac{1}{3}=\frac{115}{3}\text{ meters}\\\\\text{Length of the fabric left with Mrs. Gupta = }\frac{181}{4}-\frac{115}{3}=\frac{83}{14}\text{ meters}

Now, Half of the remaining is used to make 4 cushions.

And we need to find the fabric in meters that was used to make cushion cover

\text{So, Length of the fabric used by Mrs. Gupta to make cushion covers = }\frac{83}{12}\times \frac{1}{2}\text{ meters}\\\\\implies\bf\textbf{So, Length of the fabric used by Mrs. Gupta for cushion covers = }3\tfrac{11}{24}\textbf{ meters}
