Mrs. Hall was the owner of the Coaches and Horses inn. She comes off initially as a money minded woman who served her guests unquestioningly as seen in her interactions with TIM in the initial few chapters. Although she is snubbed by him, she does not ever behave in an impolite manner and attends to his needs like a good host. However, she isn't obsequious. She stands her ground whenever required and confronts the Invisible Man when she has a problem. This is seen when she asks him about the straw he had thrown around while unpacking as well as later when she demands why her bill hasnt been paid. She is a dominant woman and is independent in her work. This is seen in the way she behaves with her husband, Mr. Hall. She is also seen as a very resolute woman.
