Mrs. Hall was the owner of the Horses and Coaches Inn. She handled the inn with assistance of her husband Mr. Hall. In the earlier context of the story we saw that she is a generous women who gives personal attention to her guests.Although,She initially refuses to bother The Invisible Man and tries to defend him from the outsider's question, after knowing the trust she volunteers herself in driving out the invisible man. In the beginning of the novel, we also read that Mrs. Hall has a motherly side too, as she saw the invisible man wrapped up from head to toe including his mouth she thought that he had a terrible accident and he didn't want others to show sympathy towards him. Mrs Hall had a great importance in the beginning of the novel but later on her importance decreases after invisible man runs away from her inn but she remains as one of the important character in the novel.
