Answer:-

Given:-

  • Length of rectangle garden = 15 m

  • Breadth of rectangle garden = 8 m

  • Rate of fencing = ₹12 per m

  • Rate of leveling = ₹4 per m²

To Find:-

  • Cost of fencing the three sides

  • Cost of leveling the garden

Solution:-

Finding length of garden to be fenced

Length of garden to be fenced

= Three sides

= 15 + 8 + 8

= 31 m

∴ Length of garden to be fenced is 31 m

Finding cost of fencing three sides

Cost of fencing three sides

= length to be fenced × rate of fencing

= 31 × 12

= ₹372

∴ Cost of fencing is ₹372

Finding area to be leveled

Area to be leveled

= Area of rectangle

= length × breadth

= 15 × 8

= 120 m²

∴ Area to be leveled is 120 m²

Finding cost of leveling the garden

Cost of leveling the garden

= Area to be leveled × Rate of leveling

= 120 × 4

= ₹ 480

∴ Cost of leveling the garden is ₹480

Formula to be remembered:-

▪︎Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

▪︎Perimeter of square = 4 × Side

▪︎Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides

▪︎Area of rectangle = length × breadth

▪︎Area of square = Side × Side

▪︎Area of triangle = ½ × Base × Height

Or By Heron's Formula

Answer:

The cost of fencing the kitchen is 372/- and the cost of levelling the kitchen is 480/-.

Step-by-step explanation:

{\underline{\underline{\bf{Given:}}}}

  • Dimensions of the kitchen: Length = 15 m and Breadth = 8 m.
  • The cost of fencing per metre = 12/-
  • The cost of levelling per sq.metre = 4/-

{\underline{\underline{\bf{To\:find:}}}}

  • The cost of fencing the kitchen on its three sides (i.e, 15 m, 8 m and 8 m).
  • The cost of levelling the kitchen.

~Fencing the kitchen:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎The rectangular kitchen has to be fenced only in its three sides - 1 length and 2 breadths. And generally to find the cost of fencing, we have to find the perimeter of the place. So, first we shall find the perimeter of three sides by summing up the measures.

~Levelling the kitchen:

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎To find the cost of levelling, first we've to find area of the kitchen. And it can be found by inserting the given measures in the formula:

By inserting the measures-
