Explanation:  

At first, Mrs k wouldn't have covered the burn because of clothing rubbing against them. If you cover blisters, put a clean, dry, loose bandage. Don’t put any kind of ointment on the burn, unless if you are instructed to do so by your doctor.  

The nurse needs to follow some rules if someone have burn injuries:

  • At first, we need to use a treatment room/bathroom for starting the treatment. Then we have to remove the previous dressing.
  • Then, clean the wound using a soft wipe with water, normal saline, pH-neutral soap or cetrimide (because soap have alkaline and it’s reacts with the burn). We have to give enough pressure while applying it on the damaged skin and remove exudate, loose skin and slough.  
  • Then, prescribe some pain relief pills to remove the pain
