Packletide was a vain woman because to get the skin of a tiger she goes to the extreme
of the lengths by giving thousand rupees to the villagers to shoot the tiger.
She wanted to appear in front of everyone by becoming famous. She also bought
the weekend cottage for Mebbin to prevent her to not tell anybody that the tiger
is dead. With all the show off and lies, it is proved that she was a vain.
