The resources we have are enough for us to survive but not enough to satisfy our greed or desire. With reference to Mrs. Pumphrey, she bought a lot of unnecessary items for Trickie because she was rich and Tricki was the only one she could dote on. So she spoiled it and bought a whole wardrobe of tweed coats, different bowls for different meals, and different beds.
