Mrs. Pumphrey was a rich lady. She had a dog. The name of the dog was Tricki. She loved her very much. She used to give him love and food in more amounts. Tricki was also a greedy dog. He used to eat all the things.  

She used to feed him chocolates, biscuits, etc.

Tricki was rarely taken for exercise. So he became fat. He was lying the whole day like a lazy dog.  

He didn't need more food. He just needed proper exercises to become fit and fine. He had a different life, which was a luxury one. He was not acting like other dogs.  

Mrs. Pumphrey didn't give Tricki proper fitness. She was also not able to decrease his foods as she thought he was suffering from malnutrition. She gave Triki to much affection which she should not give.

And she makes Tricki ill and came to James Herriot who was a veterinary doctor. Even the dog was with James Herriot, the rich lady used to send more food for Tricki. But in the end Tricki becomes fit and fine.
