To Find :

The percentage error

Solution :

∵ initial time = i = 30 min

Final time = f = 42 min

So,

% age error = $\dfrac{final value - initial value}{initial value}$ × 100

                    = $\dfrac{f-i}{i}$ × 100

                    = $\dfrac{42 min - 30 min}{30 min}$ × 100

                    = $\dfrac{12}{30}$ × 100

                    = 0.4 × 100

Or, % age error = 40%
