Answer:

  • Length of wall = 8 m
  • Breadth of wall = 4.5 m
  • Side of square marble stone = 30 cm
  • Rate of each stone = Rs. 25

First change unit of wall into centimetres

  • Length = (8 × 100) = 800 cm
  • Breadth = (4.5 × 100) = 450 cm

Number of marble stone required :

⇒ Area of wall = Area of 1 stone × Number

⇒ (Length × Breadth) = (Side)² × Number

⇒ (800 cm × 450 cm) = (30 cm)² × Number

⇒ 360,000 cm² = 900 cm² × Number

⇒ 360,000 cm²/900 cm² = Number

⇒ Number = 400

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀───────────────

Cost of covering wall with marble :

⇒ Cost = Number of marble required × Rate

⇒ Cost = 400 × Rs. 25

Cost = Rs. 10,000

It will cost Rs. 10,000 to cover the wall with marble stone.
