Given :  a rectangle whose length is 35cm and diagonal is 37cm

To Find : Perimeter of the rectangle

Solution:

In a rectangle

(length )² + (width)²  = (diagonal )²

=> 35² +  (width)²  = 37²

=>   (width)²  = 37² - 35²

=> width² = (37 + 35) (37 - 35)

=> width² = 72 * 2

=> width² = 144

=> width = 12  cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + width)

= 2 (35 + 12)

= 2 (47)

= 94 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 94 cm
