I don't think this is unfair or unbiased. Like Ms Ratna Pathak, Mr Satish Kumar must also be a hardworking and sincere person. Probably, more hardworking than Ms Ratna Pathak. So, if we look at this situation in this way, then this circumtance is correct.

But if Mr Satish Kumar has gained a promotion through wrong means, then then this scenario is incorrect. Here, Ms Ratna Pathak has been neglected for her hardwork. Mr Satish Kumar has been promoted to the post of regional manager with the help of money or power and not based on quality and quantity of work. Ms Pathak has excelled her work and the reward for her keen service has not been granted by the company. So, it is unfair.
