Mukesh had a kiddy bank. In this kiddy bank, one rupee coins, two rupee coins and five rupee coins are in the ratio 15 : 23 : 16. The total value of the coins was ₹1128. Find the number of 5 rupees coins.

Find - Number of 5 rupees coins

Solution - The number five rupees coin is 336.

Let the number of one rupee, two rupee and five rupees coins be 15x, 23x and 16x respectively. Now, as per the given information, the equation that will form is -

15x + 23x + 16x = 1128

54x = 1128

x = 21

Now, the number of one rupee coin = 15*20.8

Number of one rupee coin = 315

Number of two rupee coins = 23*21

Number of two rupee coins = 483

Number of five rupees coin = 16*21

The number of five rupees coin = 336.

Thus, the number five rupees coin is 336.
