Money with Atul     =  z
Money with Mukul =  3z

    z + 250 = 2 (3z - 250)

∴  z + 250 = 6z - 500

     z - 6z = - 500 - 250

     -5z     = -750

         z     = -750/-5

                = 150

∴ Money with Atul     =  z

                                     = 150

   Money with Mukul  =  3z

                                     = 3 * 150

                                     = 450

Answer:

let amount Mukul has=x

and that of Atul=y

x=3y→(1.)

2×(x−250)=(y+250)

2x−500=y+250

2(3y)−y=750

5y=750

∴y=150Rs

∴x=3y=450Rs
