Answer:

Amount Mukund has is Rs 150 and amount Sagar has is Rs 100 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume that the  Amount Sagar has be x .

As given

Mukund possesses Rs50 more than what Sagar possesses.

Amount Mukund has = 50 + x

The product of the amount they have is 15,000.

Than the equation becomes

x (50 + x) = 15000

x² + 50x = 15000

x² + 50x - 15000 = 0

x² + 150x - 100x - 15000 = 0

x (x + 150) -100 (x + 150) = 0

(x + 150) (x-100) = 0

x = -150 and x = 100

(As the money cannot be negative thus x = -150 neglected.)

x = 100

Thus Sagar has Rs 50 .

Amount Mukund  has = 50 + 100

                                    = Rs 150

Therefore the amount Mukund has is Rs 150 and amount Sagar has is Rs 100 .
