Given,

The length of the pool = 60m

The breadth of the pool = 24m

The depth of the pool on one end  =9m

The depth of the pool on another end = 3m

To Find,

The volume of water in the pool when half of the floor is covered =?

Solution,

The volume of the rectangular side = l*b*h

The volume of the rectangular side = 60 * 24 * (9 - 3)

The volume of the rectangular side = 60 * 24 * 6

The volume of the rectangular side = 8640 m ³

The volume of the triangle = 0.5 * h * b * l

The volume of the triangle = 0.5 * 3 * 24 * 60

The volume of the triangle = 0.5 * 4320

The volume of the triangle = 2160 m ³

Therefore, the total volume of the pool = 2160 + 8640

The total volume of the pool = 10800 m ³

The half volume of the pool = 10800 /2 = 5400 m ³

We know that 1 cubic meter = 1000 l = 1 kl

The volume of water when it is half-filled  = 5400 m ³ = 5400 kl

Hence, the volume of water in me when just half the floor is covered is 5400 kl.
