Multimedia approach to MIS information processing is still a challenging task. The challenge can occur within the system or from outside. Earlier it used to be manipulating of text and data which was internal and not much of challenge because the output was in the nature of predetermined form. Whereas, now, Multimedia Information System depends on “content and format. “ The MIS managers need to integrate “media, skills and products” to effectively implement Multimedia Information systems projects. The complication in implementing these projects, forces the organisations to branch into other sections like training etc. If this is the case, then, “opportunities for control of the multimedia interfaces and infrastructure in the future” will be a question mark.
