Time taken by object from point A to reach the ground= 2s(by applying equations of kinematics)

Until 2s acceleration of object from point A = 9.8m/s²

Also time taken by object B to reach the ground =2√2s

So in 2s the object from B must be in air.

so acceleration of object from B=9.8m/s²

Relative acceleration in 0<t<2s = acceleration of A- acceleration of B= 0

after 2s the ball A comes to rest but the ball B is still in air so acceleration of A= 0m/s²

acceleration of B= -9.8m/s²(its - 9.8 since I am taking the downward direction as negative)

and the ball B would still be in air till 2√2 s

so relative acceleration of A with respect to B = acceleration of A - acceleration of B

=0-(-9.8)

=9.8m/s²
