Answer:

1 m = 100 cm

2m15cm = (2*100+15)cm

=215cm

40 m=(40*100)cm

= 4000cm

4000/215 = 18*130/215

4000=(215*18)+130

therefore out of 40 m of cloth 18 shirts with 2m 15cm length can be made and 130 cm of cloth will be left.
