8y²+8y-6

=-b±√b²-4ac/2a

=-8±√(8) ²-4(8) (-6) /2*8

=-8±√64+192/16

=-8±√256/16

=-8±√(16)²/16

=-8±16/16

so, y=-8+16/16 or y=-8-16/16

=8/16=1/2 y= -24/16 =-3/2

so , the required roots are (1/2) and( -3/2)
