Given : (3/2) × (16/3)

To Find : Multiply the numbers

Solution:

(3/2) × (16/3)

(a/b)  ×  ( c/d)

= ( a × c ) / ( b × d)

a = 3

b = 2

c = 16

d = 3

= ( 3 * 16) /( 2 * 3)

Cancel 3 from numerator and denominator

= 16/2

16 = 2 * 8

= (2 * 8)/2

Cancel 2  from numerator and denominator

= 8

Hence (3/2) × (16/3) =  8
