5 \sqrt{8}  \times 2 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 5 \sqrt{2 \times 2 \times 2}  \times 2 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 5 \times 2 \sqrt{2}  \times 2 \sqrt{2}  \\  = 5 \times  {(2 \sqrt{2})}^{2}  \\  = 5 \times 8 \\  = 40
