Step-by-step explanation:

let the number be x,

equation is,

x × 2/3 - 5/2 = -7/12

L.C.M of 3 and 2 which are deniminators of 2/3 and -5/2 is 6

and we multiply 5 with 3 and 2 with 2(cross multiplication)

so, x × 4-5/6 = -7/12

-1/6 = -7/12

x = -7/12/-1/6

x= -7/12 × -6/1

x = -7/2
