Solution : When the negative of 29/2 is multiply by its inverse the answer is -1.

  • An element 'b' is said to be the inverse of the element 'a' if a×b = e  where e is the identity.
  • Here assume that \frac{29}{2} belongs to the group of non zero real number under multiplication
  • Now identity of non zero real number is 1
  • To find the inverse of \frac{29}{2} we have to find a real number 'b' such that \frac{29}{2} × b = 1 so b is \frac{2}{29}
  • Hence inverse of \frac{29}{2} is \frac{2}{29}
  • Now multiply negative of \frac{29}{2} by its inverse
  • which is -1 ×\frac{29}{2}×\frac{2}{29} = -1
  • So when the negative of 29/2 is multiply by its inverse the answer is -1.
