(x - 2y + 3)(x + 2y)  \\ \\  = x(x - 2y + 3) + 2y(x - 2y + 3) \\  \\  =  {x}^{2}   \cancel{- 2xy} + 3x +  \cancel{2xy} - 4 {y}^{2}  + 6y \\  \\  =  {x}^{2}  - 4 {y}^{2}  + 3x + 6y
