(x-3)(4x+2)
x(4x+2)-3(4x+2)
4x²+2x-12x-6
4x²-10x-6

4x²-4x-6x-6
4x(x-1)-6(x-1)

(4x-6)(x-1)

x=6/4. x=1

x=3/2,1

Hey there !!

▶ Q. multiply ( x -3 ) ( 4x + 2 ) using the distributive property .

▶ Solution :-

↪ Using distributive property law of multiplication.

= ( x - 3 ) ( 4x + 2 ) .

= x( 4x + 2 ) -3( 4x + 2 ) .

= 4x² + 2x - 12x - 6 .

= 4x² - 10x - 6.

= 4x² - 6x - 4x - 6.

= 4x² - 4x - 6x - 6 .

= 4x( x - 1 ) -6 ( x - 1 ) .

= ( 4x - 6 ) ( x - 1 ) .

✔✔ Hence, it is solved ✅✅.
