If x==y, the statement is always correct… So in this case x*y can be any number (just get square root of it and use as both x and y)

But if x=/= y it will be as following:

3x + 5/y = 3y + 5/x

3х - 3y = 5/x - 5/y

3(х - y) = -5 (х - y) / xy

3 = -5 / xy note: valid as х - y =/= 0

xy = -5/3
