 \sf \:  (x + y) \: and \: (3x - 5y) \\  \\  \sf = ( x + y) \times (3x - 5y) \\  \\  \sf = x(3x - 5y) + y(3x - 5y) \\  \\  \sf =  {3x}^{2}  - 5xy + 3xy -  {5y}^{2}  \\  \\  \sf =  {3x}^{2}   -  {5y}^{2}  - 5xy + 3xy \\  \\  \sf =  -  {2x}^{2}  - 2xy
