# Bacteria is known to multiply very rapidly.
A certain container contains just one bacteria on the

Solution:

According to the question the series of no. of bacteria is like,

⇒1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and so on.

In the given series the next term is always the double of the the previous term.

For example :

2 = 2 x 1

4 = 2 x 2

8 = 2 x 4

Therefore, the container would be half full on the 9th day because the number of bacteria doubles each day as we have seen in the series. The container should be half full on the day before it became full which is the 9th day.
