First of all nowadays wattmeter manufacturing companies provide the MF(multiplication Factor) for various combinations of current and voltage ranges but in case you are not provided that information then use just this simple trick:

1.Note down the min. voltage and min. current range on the wattmeter terminals.

2.Then multiply it(V*I) to get the min. power range.

3. Now see the current range and voltage range you have connected in your circuit from the wattmeter terminals.

4.Multiply them to get the power range you are using.

5.Now divide the power range you got in step 4 by min. power range of step 2 to get the MF for your readings on wattmeter.
