Hello!!
If you are talking about the Mumbai Terrorist Attack on 26th November 2008, then here's your answer:

The main terrorist was Kasab.
Heroes who emerged were:

1. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was an NSG commando, and fought bravely inside Hotel Taj. When a few terrorists went upstairs to run away, he said to other men, "Do not come, I'll handle them alone!" In an exchange of fire, he was shot. In his last attempt he tried to save Sardar Gajendra Singh, but succumbed to his injuries.

2. Sandra Samuel, who was the Indian Nanny...She saved a two year old child Moshe, when Nariman House was attacked. Both Moshe's parents died during the attack.

3. Vishnu Dattaram Zende was the announcer of the Chattrapati Shivaji Station (CST). On 26 November, he heard a loud explosion at one end of a CST platform and saw bloodstains on clothes of the people. At once he understood that something was wrong. Without running away, he used the public announcement system to tell the people to go from a different exit. He did not run away for his life, but continued to make announcements for half an hour. The terrorists fired a bullet in his cabin, but fortunately, it missed him.

4. Karambir Singh Kang, who was the General Manager of the Taj Hotel. He, instead of worrying about his own safety or his family's needs, first helped his guests and staffs out of the hotel. His wife and children were trapped in a room engulfed by fire. They died of suffocation. Even on hearing of their death, Karambir Singh Kang did not abandon his responsibilities, and continued fighting for his guests' safety.

5. Hemant Karkarem who was the Anti-Terrorism Squad Chief. He, along with DIG Ashok Kamte and Vijay Salaskar, followed the terrorists by a jeep. All three of them were killed near the Cama Hospital.

6. Most surprising: Muhammed Taufeeq Sheikh, who was popularly known as the Chotu Chaiwala----> He was a young boy who ran a tea stall outside the CST station. He was among the first to help transport the injured to St. George Hospital. Had it not been for the efforts of people like him, many of the wounded might not have made it to the hospital on time.

Thus ended the life of many fighters, who sacrificed for the cause of our COUNTRY...but, when the question of freedom fighters arise, we only think of Gandhi, Nehru, Azad, etc.......
NO ONE KNOWS about the above people.

Thanks.....(^_^)
