peas has a bacteria named rhizobium in the nodules of it`s roots. they are nitrogen fixing bacteria. this nitrogen is useful for plants as a nutrient. when peas is grown, nitrogen is fixed into the soil by rhizobium, which decreases the deficiency of that nutrient. hence, peas will help in replenishing the nutrients of the soil.

Hope u got ur answr!
