Solution:-
Let initially Murali had total money = x Rs.
Given half of the total money to wife = x/2 Rs.
Money remained after giving to wife = x - x/2 = x/2
Given 2/3rd part of the remaining money to the son = x/2 × 2/3
Given to the son = x/3
And remaining 50000 Rs. to his daughter.
So, according to the question.
x/1 - (x/2 + x/3) = 50000
x/1 - 5x/6 = 50000
x/6 = 50000
x = 300000
So, initially Murali had Rs. 300000.
Wife's share = x/2 = 300000/2 = Rs. 150000
Money remained = 300000 - 150000 = Rs. 150000
And Son's share = 2/3rd of the remaining = 150000 × 2/3
= Rs. 100000
