[music] Hi there. I am Denise Richardson and this is howdini.com. If you want to learn how to ace a job interview, stay tuned. We are about to talk about it with Maggie Mistal, who is a life purpose and career coach, who can be heard regularly on Martha Stewart Living Radio on Sirius. Thank you so much for being with us. Thanks, Denise. You show up, you dress properly, you walk in to meet the interviewer. What is the first thing you do when you walk in? I love to smile and obviously, I think you can tell by that but I like to make the interviewer just at-ease as I am trying to be. Because really this interview is a conversation, that you are going to have with this other person who is a human being, and it can be a real ice breaker if you can just be relaxed and at least just give yourself a break and say, “Hi, how are you?” And even try to talk about the weather or some type of other ice-breakers that kinds of gives everybody a chance to take a deep breath. Because this is an evaluative conversation and it can be nerve-wracking for both parties. So, the interviewer says to that prospective employee, “Why do you want to leave your job?”

The answer for “Why do you want to leave your job?” could be an elaborate one because you have to convince your prospective employer that you are a serious person.

You can say: “I have put in a valuable service of five years in that concern and would like to learn better and grow in my field.  As it is a small company, the opportunity of learning and growing is limited.  I have read about your company in the net and have obtained informations about your company from some of my known resources, I came to know that my ambition can be fulfilled here, that is the reason I’m looking out for a change.
