I think that in early days people's used to gather on a place and play instruments and sing the songs together like Bhajans and Kirtans .
But the modern technology has changed all this people's are now a day's using head phones and ear phones .

Answer: Music is a pain killer to me, it’s a mood booster and a best healer for me.The favorite genre of music for me is the remix version of literally almost all songs. They are evergreen in every season and I really don’t get bore out of it. They can be worked in your break up mood. They can be worked in your pleasant mood. They can be worked in the wedding celebration. The EDM never allows you to stop. They let you tap your feet and fingertips freely. The lyrics are the best thing to be found in the electrified songs. They somehow bring out the best meaning of life accompanied with beats of drum. You start thinking differently, no matter in what mood you are.
The retro music too has the mind changing lyrics but they don’t have enough beats to let your body feel the music. It only allows the feeling to penetrate through your soul only. But DJ songs move your body with matching with the soul.
Why only during celebration time we listen to DJ music? I take my life as a celebration itself, so my playlist has EDM above in the list and listens to them as a routine. No, it doesn’t mean that I’m addicted to it. But music like “Believer by American Author” persuades you to cross their way every time you want to get encouraged. “Closer” by The Chainsmoker ft. Hasley is still on the US TOP 40 chart.
In fact Ryan Seacrest, a radio personality has said “There was a time in fall 2016 when the only song to ever exist was this one. This is what I call OLD BUT GOLD”. “Wake me up” by Avicii has one of the best lyrics that throw you higher.
