‘Mustard’ is grown in the following districts of Rajasthan: Alwar, Bharatpur, Sawaimadhopur, Jaipur, Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Sriganganagar and Sikar.

Explanation:

• Rajasthan is currently the highest producer of mustard. 3.5 million tonnes mustard is expected to be harvested in Rajasthan this fiscal year.

• Planting has begun from the 1st of October and the crop will be harvested in March next year.  

• In Rajasthan, the ‘mustard crop’ is mostly cultivated in the Bharatpur district which is an ‘eastern district’ of Rajasthan where the ‘largest mustard’ growing division exists.

• It covers about 48 per cent of the ‘total production of state’.
